How the season runs
March
First cut
Usually the second or third week, depending on the ground. We call, we do not just turn up.
April to June
Weekly
Growth peaks. This is the stretch where skipping a week costs you more than it saves.
July to August
Weekly or fortnightly
If it goes dry we drop to fortnightly and bill accordingly rather than scalping it.
September to November
Weekly, then leaves
Final cut usually mid November, then leaf clearance as a separate visit.
